Our Commitments to you are to:

  • Treat you respectfully, kindly, courteously and professionally at all times.
  • Give outstanding dental treatment in a safe and secure environment.
  • Ensure that you participate actively in decisions regarding your dental care or designate a representative when appropriate.
  • Offer you the chance to discuss any questions or concerns you might have, even if you worry that these may be embarrassing, unimportant or silly.
  • Ensure we have valid consent before any examination or treatment.
  • Give you the best clinical advice, using the most up-to-date research and evidence, leaving you to make the best choice for yourself. This will be ensured by all our practitioners completing continuing professional development that exceeds the requirements set out by the General Dental Council.
  • Give you a written treatment plan as well as an estimate of costs.
  • Offer you completely seamless continuity of care, keeping in mind that this will follow a comprehensive and appropriately sequenced plan and that treatment may change according to individual needs and choices.
  • Ensure the highest standards of infection control.
  • Deal with any complaints efficiently, sympathetically and according to the agreed professional procedures.
  • Offer an outstanding provision of emergency care.

Your commitments to us include to:

  • Be respectful and courteous to all members of the West Terrace team at all times.
  • Arrive on time for each scheduled appointment or give 24 hours’ notice or more for a change of appointment. We endeavour to run an outstanding and efficient service – patients who are late or fail to show for appointments undermine our ability to do this.
  • Provide accurate and complete information about your medical history, including medications and past or present medical problems.
  • Tell us about any changes in this health status each time you visit.
  • Follow treatment recommendations once you have agreed them with us.
  • Participate in your dental treatment, particularly any advice about preventative care and diet that we have recommended you to continue at home.
  • Notify a team member if you do not understand anything about your care.
  • Take responsibility if you refuse treatment.
  • Inform a member of the team if you are not satisfied with any aspect of your care.
  • Pay immediately all fees for treatment that you have received.
